Introduction:
Tonight's speaker, Nancy Mueller, is a business owner, author, and mother of a daughter born in
China. In her professional life as a speaker, trainer and coach, Nancy helps clients, such as Franklin
Templeton, IBM and Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., master business communication skills for the global
marketplace. She has also had the privilege to meet etiquette maven Letitia Baldrige, former Chief
of Protocol in the Kennedy administration, and present her workshop on business etiquette to managers
and supervisors around the country. Nancy is the author of Work Worldwide: International Career
Strategies for the Adventurous Job Seeker, published by Avalon Travel Publications and she has written
several articles on working globally. She received her master's degree in comparative literature
(specializing in English, French and Russian 19th century literature) from the University of Washington
and is past president of the Northwest Chapter of the National Speakers Association. An avid world
traveler, Nancy's international experience includes directing a cultural exchange organization in
the Pacific Northwest, teaching in Egypt, presenting business communication workshops in Canada
and throughout the United States, consulting in Europe and traveling in Brazil, Europe, Hong Kong
and China. Australia and Antarctica are still on her list of "must see" places.
In tonight's presentation, "Manners That Mean Business," Nancy will share her success strategies for building long-term business relationships in today's diverse marketplace. Please join me in welcoming Nancy Mueller.
