About Richard J. DeGroot:
Richard works with clients to identify, clarify an achieve both their business and personal financial goals.
His practice encompasses a broad range of tax planning, tax compliance and consulting on financial and
business matters for closely held businesses, executives and high net worth individuals.
Richard has experience with income and excise tax planning and compliance for businesses with operation within Washington as well as those with multistate activitie. He has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. He has helped clients with real estate tax planning, business and estate succession planning, and designing employee benefit and retirement plans.
Richard holds the following degrees:
Richard is graduate tax professor with Golden Gate University in Seattle where he teaches corporate, limited liability company, partnership and property taxation. Richard was also the program director for the Internal Group of Accounting Firms’ 22nd Annual Tax Conference in 2002.
