About Carol Nelson:
Carol K. Nelson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cascade Financial Corporation commencing May 1, 2002. She has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the company and President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank since February 2001. She was previously Senior Vice President and Northern Region Executive of Bank of America. Ms. Nelson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Seattle University. Ms. Nelson has served or is serving on many boards to include: The United Way of Snohomish County; The Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County; Washington Financial League; Washington Bankers Association; Snohomish County Economic Development Council; the Leadership Snohomish County Advisory Board and the Executive Advisory Board of the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University. She is a past President of the Puget Sound Council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls. Ms. Nelson also serves as Vice Chair of the Company’s Executive Committee and as a member of the Bank’s Loan Committee.

Carol K. Nelson in 2008 was named to U.S. Banker Magazine's list of "25 Women to Watch" in its first annual ranking of the 25 most powerful women in banking and finance today.
