Summary:
On July 1, 2009, the FASB officially launched the GAAP Codification. It will fundamentally change how we research and refer to GAAP. This session will review the structure of the Codification and demonstrate how to research accounting issues using it.
About Wayne Borkowski, CPA, CMA, CFM, MBA, Borkowski & Associates
Wayne is the president of Borkowski & Associates Inc., a firm dedicated to providing high quality, value-added continuing professional education. He has spoken internationally on a variety of accounting, auditing, and finance topics to professionals in public accounting, private industry, government service, and education. Wayne served as a member of the AICPA Governing Council for three years, is a Past-President of the Washington Society of CPAs (WSCPA), and was a member of the WSCPA Board of Directors for six years.
Wayne has received several awards for his teaching excellence including recognition as the WSCPA “Outstanding College Educator” and “Outstanding Discussion Leader,” and was twice recognized by the WSCPA for presenting the “Hottest Course of the Year.” He was also presented with the California CPA Education Foundation “Award for Outstanding Course Materials.” Also, Wayne was awarded the “Robert Beyer Gold Medal” by the Institute of Management Accountants for attaining the highest score in the nation on the Certified Management Accountant Examination.
